WERNER SIEGRIST - PRINCIPAL CPM
Canadian Premium Meats Inc. (CPM) identified the need for a federally registered and European Union (EU) approved processing plant in Western Canada. CPM has addressed that need with a plant in Lacombe, Alberta.
Many livestock producers recognize the opportunity existing in niche markets such as organic, natural and hormone-free beef; bison; elk; and venison. Several producer groups have already formed production and marketing alliances to form a strong voice with wholesalers and retailers. However, all three links - production, processing and marketing - within the supply chain need to coordinate to make all of them successful.

GRANT LOUIE - CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
If there was such a title as connoisseur of beef, Grant would fit the role being born and raised in Calgary Alberta. In the dingy dark corners of steakhouses so common in these parts, is where his taste for premium beef became refined - In search of the best steaks, burgers, and smoked varieties the world has to offer. His journey has led him to discover that breeding the perfect steer for tenderness isn't just marbling, but a complicated science and art form passed from generation to generation and he's determined to prove why Alberta beef when raised right ranks with the very best in the world.THE GENETICIST
STAN CICHON - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Stan & Barb Cichon own and operate a cozy ranch that's been in the family for 37 years - Wells' Crossing Cattle Company near Bergen, Alberta. The story goes in June of 1900, Dennis Wells was crossing the Little Red Deer River when his horse spooked. Dennis drowned and was buried on a point of land on the property, hence the name. Today, they breed champions, specifically full Fleckvieh Simmentals that produce a highly sought after seed stock for ranching communities all across Canada.
A Family Affair
I have been directly and actively involved with the Cattle Industry in North America for over 16 years and indirectly with agriculture since 1973. Since my childhood, food production and its sustainability has always been a priority for me. My parents were European immigrants that came to Canada in the late 1920's. Growing up in Saskatchewan just after the great depression of the 30's, many of their cultural values were instilled in all of our family. Hard work and the need for education were just two of the many values we embrace. As a result I earned degrees at four different Universities in Canada and the United States. Hard work and thirst for knowledge still motivate my entrepreneurial endeavors today. Elite Beef is committed to a partnership with our Canadian beef producers. We work directly with ranch families who meet our strict guidelines. Each ranch sharing in our vision of providing the highest quality beef to steak enthusiasts around the world. We are suppliers of beef to a very specific and unique market not serviced by large conglomerate corporations. Each client is personally known to us and receives our selective yet personal attention. Our partnership with CPM ensures that we bring the very highest standards to processing - guaranteeing you top safety and quality placed in every box.THE EB DIFFERENCE
